all accompanied by cool stories. Five members of the Full
Moon Family voted for their favorites. First place won a
hoodie of their choice, Second place won a shirt of their
choice, Third place received sticker packets, and the Runners-up
each received a sticker. We hope you enjoy
viewing the winners' photos and stories.
We plan to hold another contest this summer, so start snapping

FIRST PLACE
Paul Schmidt, Brooklyn, NY
Paul wrote: "I love your stuff! So dope..tight...
fresh... In this picture I was eating a bagel with
cream cheese (wearing a Mountains of the Moon hemp
"Buddha/All One Inspired by the music hoodie), and I seem
to have made a little mess..."
This photograph made us all laugh! We loved the
simplicity of it, but also all agreed that it was unique
and creative. Congratulations Paul! |

SECOND PLACE
Sue Wiest, Sicklerville, NJ
Sue wrote: "This is a picture of my son, Tony, and his
girlfriend, Nicole. He is wearing his OLD Mountains of
the Moon "Unity is Possible" hoodie that he got at (The
Dead Family Reunion) at Alpine Valley. I bought him the
same hoodie for Christmas this year
because that old one was looking ragged! They are on a
ferry in the Pacific Northwest headed to Friday Harbor,
WA. Hope you like it as much as we like your
clothing!"
We love the photo (what a beautiful background!), and
love the story too! Congratulations Sue!

THIRD PLACE
(*tie!*)
Francie Pants, Green Bay, WI and
Alli Hahn, Pittsburgh, PA
Francie wrote: "Here's
a shot from me at last summer's Big Wu Reunion in my
"Jerry in the Stars hoodie." I still wear it almost every
day! It's gotta be one of my top five favorite clothes!"
This picture is beautiful! We loved it!
Thanks Francie!
Alli wrote: "This
photo shows myself and two Mongolian archeology students
at the base of the Chuny River in west central Mongolia.
We set off with a Russian map from 1968 in search of the
river's delta. It took three days of searching because
most of the towns on the map had been planned, but never
existed and none of us could read Russian. We had horded
this bottle of arkhi (mongolian mares milk that has been
fermented and distilled) for the last week, but finally
broke it out for a group of nomads that guided us on horse
back. Its more potent than the Russian stuff and tastes
terrible :) I donned my Mountains of the Moon tam,
borrowed from a kind roommate, to hide my supper flat
dreads."
This was probably our favorite story that we received.
We're honored that you chose to wear one of our
hand-crocheted tams on this amazing adventure.
Congratulations! |
