Since Mountains of the Moon’s inception in 1998, we have chosen to focus on creating and carrying products that use hemp fiber and oil, including apparel, accessories and body care.  As our company grows, we are always striving for new ways to incorporate hemp into our product line as much as possible.  Why do we support the use of hemp so much?   
             
*Hemp Fabric is one of the longest-lasting and most resilient fabrics, it provides a UV filter against the sun, and it becomes softer with time without breaking down.  It also resists mold and is fireproof.  It breathes with your skin, so it is not only one of the most comfortable fibers to wear, but it also can be worn in all seasons.

*Hemp grows well naturally without the need for pesticides or herbicides.

*Hemp seed contains more essential fatty acids than ANY other food source.  It is also full of fiber, protein and vitamins. 

*Hemp can produce much larger quantities of pulp for paper per acre than trees.  Hemp paper can be recycled more times and decomposes much more slowly than paper made from trees.  Hemp fiberboard is twice as strong as wood fiberboard. 

*Hemp is one of the best sources for biofuels.

*Hemp can be grown anywhere in the world.  It is the ONLY plant that can.
